Carvedilol is a pill taken once or twice a day with food. It comes in many doses.

Do not chew or crush your pills. If you cannot swallow your pills whole, you can take the extended-release capsule. Just open it carefully and sprinkle all the contents on a spoonful of applesauce. Swallow the whole spoonful at once without chewing it.

Carvedilol comes in many doses and two different forms:

  1. Immediate-release tablets are taken twice a day.
  2. Extended-release capsules are taken once a day.

Your doctor will help decide what dose is right for you. Usually, you will start with the smallest dose. If that doesn't work well, they may raise the dose. Always talk to your doctor before making any changes to your medicine. All changes must be closely checked by your doctor.

The same way every day, that’s the way!
